Gympie, QLD
Club:
Gold Coast Titans (2023-2025), Catalans Dragons (2026)
Biography:

Born in Brisbane and raised in Gympie, Iszac Fa'asuamaleaui followed in the footsteps of his older brother Tino, playing his junior rugby league for the Gympie Devils before joining the Gold Coast Titans' development pathway through their Future Titans program in 2020.

Fa'asuamaleaui spent two seasons cutting his teeth in the Queensland Cup with the Titans' feeder side, the Burleigh Bears, before being elevated to the Gold Coast first-grade squad in 2023, despite still being on a development contract at the time. His NRL debut came in unforgettable fashion — a 38–34 victory over the Melbourne Storm at Robina Stadium, where he lined up alongside brother Tino as Titans teammates for the first time, finishing his opening 25 minutes in the top grade with 66 running metres and 13 tackles at a perfect completion rate.

Fa'asuamaleaui went on to make 25 NRL appearances for the Titans across three seasons, adding 46 Queensland Cup games along the way as he continued to build his experience in the forward pack. In August 2025, he signed a two-year deal to join the Catalans Dragons in the English Super League from the 2026 season, taking the next step in his development on the other side of the world.

The 24-year-old will link up with fellow Bears recruit Toby Sexton at Catalans for the 2026 Super League season, before making the move to Perth ahead of the club's inaugural NRL campaign in 2027 — a forward with genuine first-grade experience and a proven family pedigree for the physical demands of top-level rugby league.

Head Coach Mal Meninga said he was the club was building the right foundations to ensure success in its first season.

"I feel really confident we are building the foundations for this club to be successful now and into the future," Meninga said.
